Organic and Biodynamic

We are happy to announce the return of Edward Wallo's Yorkville Cellars to Rhode Island.

Edward is one of the pioneers of organic wines and it is great to have his wines back.

Yorkville Cellars Semillon 2005

Richly textured, with an aroma of almonds. Tangerine fruit and a note of vanilla to finish. Matches well with shellfish. Gold Medal Mendocino County fair. (Mendocino, California) $19.99

Yorkville Cellars Sauvignon Blanc 2005

Aromas of peach and lime blossom with a hint of straw and vanilla. Tangerine fruit flavor with a bright citrus finish. This is definitely not one of those thin, watery Sauvignon Blanc. (Mendocino, California) $16.99

> Yorkville Cellars Eleanor of Aquitaine 2005

A blend of select barrels of Semillon and Sauvignon Slanc. Barrel fermented in French oak, this wine is complex with notes of pear, vanilla and tangerine. $25.99

Yorkville Cellars Cabernet Franc 2004

This is a delicious example of that "other" Cabernet, which is actually a much older grape variety than Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2004 vintage is light bodied and aromatic, showing notes of herb, licorice, violets and black tea. Red cherry and blueberry fruit lead to a clean finish.  A perfect choice for cherry-glazed roast-pork tenderloin. (Mendocino, California) $19.99

Yorkville Cellars Merlot 2004

Medium-full bodied red with bright fruit flavors of blueberry and cassis. Aromas of anise with a hint of new leather. Hearty finish with some tannins and a note of white pepper. $19.99

Yorkville Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

An elegant red, with aromas of black olives, blueberry, herbs and oak. Bright cherry fruit, with a lingering finish. Succulent, but structured, this wine has great balance and long term potential. $19.99

Yorkville Cellars Malbec 2004

A dense and full bodied red with a compliment of fruit flavors; red plum, cassis, a hint of boysenberry and a splash of cranberry in the finish. $19.99

Yorkville Cellars Petit Verdot 2004

Very Aromatic, with hints of mint, fennel seed and flowers. A splash of cherry mid-palate, finishing with a tangy note of cranberry-boysenberry fruit. Matches well with lasagna or eggplant parmesan. $19.99

Yorkville Cellars Richard the Lionhearted 2004

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. A supple wine, with great elegance, balance and aromas. $29.99

Fleury Champagne Brut N/V

Varietals : 100% pinot noir.
Total Production : 10,000 cases.
Nose : High toned almond and cherry notes pervade this rich sparkling wine.
Palate : Light-bodied and airy, it firms up on the fruity finish.

(Champagne, France) (Reg $39.99) $29.99

Sacra Natural 2004 (Spain) $18.99

Coturri Zinfandel 2002 Chauvet Vineyards Old Vine East Block

A full bodied wine made from ancient, gnarled vines planted in 1935. It is a hedonistic bowl of fruit compote. This wine begs for fois gras and smoky barbequed ribs. (Sonoma Valley, California) $28.99

Coturri Pinot Noir 2002 Jewell Vineyards

Full bodied. A surreal cocktail of pomegranate and cherry cola, heightened acidity and extravagant alcohol remain tenuously in balance with the wine's sweetness - which makes the dry finish something of a shock.  148 cases produced. (Sonoma Mountain, California) $28.99

Coturri Grenache 2004 Testa Vineyards

A base varietal for many S. France Rhone wines - this is medium bodied wine that has deep rustic fruit with layers of black currant and blackberry with a crisp forward acidity - will pair with with such meats as duck, lamb and beef.  180 cases. (Mendocino, California) $19.99

Pinkus Organic Ur Pils

Bitter, golden pils was developed in Pilsen, Czechoslovakia. Like the original, Ur Pils is brewed with organic malt and hops. Pale golden in color; light to medium in body; dry and well-balanced; clean hop and malt character. Trout amandine, fresh salmon, hors d'oeuvres, Quiche Lorraine, Cobb salad, gazpacho, tabouli, garlic and shallot sauces, thick potato chips, fresh strawberries or cherries. Serve in delicate, straight-sided tumblers at 45 degrees. 500ml  $3.99

Francoise Bedel Brut N/V - $49.99

Le Paradou Cotes du Luberon 2003

The Grenache in this cuvée conjures up the deep, dark fruit aromas of areas such as Rasteau and the Cotes du Ventoux while the spicy Syrah adds another layer of complexity to this mouth-filling red. The vines, ranging in age between 40 and 60 years old, are cultivated in accordance with the laws of Terra Vitis, an organization that ensures that properties respect the environment in which the vines are grown and stresses the benefits of integrated farming. (France) $11.99

Clos Roche Blanche Touraine Sauvignon 2004

The signature wine from a small estate that has earned itself quite a cult following among the trade, Clos Roche Blanche Sauvignon is a wine of unbelievable value. The dynamic duo, Catherine Roussel and Didier Barrouillet, practice organic viticulture and maintain low yields of their old vines that are grown on the Touraine hills in poor, clay and flint soils over a limestone subsoil. Hand-harvested Sauvignon Blanc grapes were pressed into tanks at their gravity-fed winery and held on the lees for 6 months, after which the wine is bottled without filtration. As a result, what we have here is a Sauvignon Blanc of generous but clean citrussy fruit, green herbal notes and refreshing minerality. (Loire, France) $14.99

Habitat White 2002

The 2002 Habitat is sourced from organically grown vineyards in the Napa Valley. Each variety is picked to meet the distinctive characters of the blend. This wine shows beautiful tropical aromas of pear, melon, and vanilla, nice fruit flavors of green apple and citrus, and a refreshing finish of pineapple and lemon. Varietal Content: Semillon 57%, Chardonnay 37%, Pinot Blanc 6% (Napa, California) $12.99

Wolaver's certified organic beers are made with pure Vermont water, certified organic malts and hops, and our special house yeast. Wolaver's is the #1 organic beer in the country! (6-pack) $7.99

Pavi Dolcetto 2001

Enjoy one of Northern Italy's most popular wines. This is a lush, medium/full bodied wine, rich with bright raspberry and cherry aromas. The intense flavors of blackberry and spice come together in a balanced wine that is a perfect compliment to meats, pasta and pizza! It is a great everyday wine! (Napa, California) $16.99
