Beckmen Vineyards Estate Syrah 2001 - Sold Out

2001 Estate Syrah has brought us one of the best Syrah vintages seen to date ... "an impressive estate wine that shows why Syrah is coming on like gangbusters. The flavors are richly ripe and fill the mouth with cherry, blueberry, and blackberry notes that are sweetly lush. These flavors are balanced by near-perfect tannins, soft and luxurious, and nice, crisp acids. A touch of smoky oak adds spice and vanilla accents." (Santa Ynez Valley, California) $20.99

Beckmen Vineyards Cuvee Le Bec 2003

A lush, heady wine that opens the fruit characteristics of the Syrah and blends in the spicy current and pepper notes of the Grenache. The mix of fruit and spice helps give it a brilliant nose and a roundness in the mouth. It's a finely balanced bottle that might leave you feeling a little dreamy after a few glasses. (Santa Ynez Valley, California) $14.99

Sam Smith Organic Ale

Casaloste Chianti Classico 1999

With an intense ruby color, this Chianti Classico features forest fruit scents on the nose, sustained by the typical acidity and tannin of the Sangiovese grape on the finish. Perfect with red meat, or with a plate of aged cheese or your favorite Tuscan anti-pasto, the subtle character of the Chianti Classico goes great with a diverse range of foods. (Italy) $27.99

Cooper Mountain Reserve Pinot Gris 2003

Light straw in color, this vintage offers crisp and clean flavors with hints of citrus (grapefruit & tangerine) but gives way to juicy green apple and pear. The slight floral minerality comes from the unique volcanic soil in which the grapes were grown. Well balanced with a solid acid backbone pairs well with a wide range of foods from spicy Thai to salads and pasta. (Oregon) $14.99

Napa Wine Company, 2003 Zinfandel, Oakville, Napa Valley

Napa Wine Co. Zinfandel 2003

This wine exhibits all the great qualities that Zinfandel lovers expect, delicate aromas of rose and raspberry that compliment the rich silky texture of cherry and spice.  This wine is a beautiful compliment to a pepper crusted leg of lamb or smoked St. Louis style pork ribs, which captures the ripe raspberry and spice flavors of our Zinfandel. $22.99

Domaine Viret Cosmic 2000

Cuvée Cosmic is an all barrel-fermented and aged wine of 90% Grenache, the rest Syrah and Mourvèdre, that was assembled in a cement vat after 8 months in oak; it is smoky and ripe, with great balance and complex aromas. (Rhone, France) $16.99

Napa Wine Company, 2003 Sauvignon Blanc, Yountville, Napa Valley

Napa Wine Co. Sauvignon Blanc 2003

The Napa Wine Company 2003 Sauvignon Blanc is organically grown in the Yountville appellation sourced from old vines located in our Anchorage Block Vineyard. The wine shows the true character of Sauvignon Blanc; 85% skin contact contributes to the nose of gooseberry amplifying the Sauvignon Blanc aromas. 15% whole cluster processing and 30% barrel fermentation gives a nice rich texture of fig and lemon. 70% tank fermentation lends to the clean, crisp finish of lemon and grapefruit.  $16.99

Napa Wine Company, 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

Napa Wine Co. Cabernet Sauvignon 2001

The wine delivers concentrated fruit providing layer after layer of intense fruit flavors of blackberry and black cherry with a blending of a caramel essence and a beautiful spice intensity. This wine goes wonderfully with rosemary and garlic crusted leg of lamb accompanied by a rich port sauce. $35.99

Patianna Sauvignon Blanc 2003

The wine’s aromas – Honeydew melon, orange peel and anise – are typically produced by grapes grown biodynamically in Patianna’s gravelly, sandy loam soil. Vibrant grapefruit and lemon flavors predominate. The wine’s weighty finish shows a subtle mineral quality. (Mendocino, California) $19.99

Napa Wine Co Pinot Blanc 2003

The nose provides a combination of ripe pears, figs and honey.  The full-bodied  mouth reveals green apples with spice and vanilla characters contributed from barrel fermentation and aging. (Napa, California) $18.99

Robert Sinskey Vineyards Pinot Noir 2001

A brilliant deep ruby color whets the palate of the minds eye. The structure of this wine is bigger than the prior vintage, but the intense fruit notes of wild strawberry, raspberry and cranberry bring the tannin and the acid into balance. Beneath the fruit, orange zest and thyme add complexity. A plush mid palate, a long-juicy finish and a firm structure all work together. (Napa, California) $36.99

Robert Sinskey Vineyards Cabernet Franc 2001

This wine is big, bad and beautiful with firm aromas and flavors of cassis, dark cherry and other jammy red fruits with just a touch of green olive or fresh earth. The aromas are ripe without being over ripe. The oak complements the fruit and lends balance to the mid-palate. The tannin is apparent, suggesting that this wine will age gracefully, yet it is in balance with the weight of the wine. The mid-palate richness carries through to the long, mouth-watering finish. (Napa, California) $39.99
