Silver Oak Alexander
Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2003
Winemaker Daniel Baron describes this wine as a vibrant, rich wine
with dark, ruby color and an expressive nose of cassis, black cherry,
dark chocolate, soy sauce, ginger and sandalwood. It is fruit driven and
full-bodied on the palate with a panoply of fruits and spices echoed in
its extremely long, complex finish. It will continue to improve until
2023, given proper cellaring. (California) $59.99

Mollydooker
"The Boxer" Shiraz 2006
This is Shiraz at its best. This wine has a
sumptuous aroma, revealing deep chocolate, lifted violets and
blackcurrant fruit. With an amazing fruit expression reminiscent of
strawberries dipped in chocolate, the palate is rich and robust, with
licorice and spice fruit intermingled with lovely hints of oak. Its
massive structure will explode in your mouth and finished velvety smooth
with lively, exuberant fruit. $20.99

Mollydooker
"Blue Eyed Boy" Shiraz 2006
This joyous wine was
named after the Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy, Sarah and Sparky’s son, Luke.
Just wait till you taste this wine! There were 3 major vineyard
components in the blend. It has the best features of all three: depth
and complexity from one, velvety unctuousness from another, intensity
and color from the third, and then a something extra - a life force of
its own. Magic! $49.99

Killibinbin Shiraz
2004 Langhorne Vineyard
An
intriguing new label adorns the latest Killibinbin from the excellent
2004 vintage. The new look is very cool, whilst the wine inside
maintains the high standards that Killibinbin has set over the years.
Dark fruits, spice and anise are kept tight and in focus by fresh acid
and fine, ripe tannins. Incredibly dark purple color. Huge
blackberry aromas, and even more blackberry flavors. I love it when
vanilla creeps in at the finish like this did. Great mouth feel, and a
nice, creamy finish. This wine is a huge value. $24.99

L'Automne
Pinot Noir 2006 (Copain)
Tea, light
cola and rose petal nuances accent the dusty cherry fruit aromas. Tea, bing cherry and delicate herbal qualities emerge on the pallet. The wine
finishes with sweet cherry fruit and soft talc-like tannins. (Mendicino,California)
$24.99

Norman Vineyards
2003 No Nonsense Meritage
This delightful wine has
all the classic varietal characteristics of a Meritage blend: bright,
floral aromas of cherry and berry an herbal component of tobacco leaf
and black olive, and a resinous note of cedar. Medium-bodied, it is
nicely balanced with supple tannins, firm acidity and a pleasant malty
flavor that lingers on the palate. Perfect with roast pork or rib-eye
steak, it is enjoyable now and will age well through 2012. $21.99

Norman Vineyards
2005 "The Monster" Zinfandel
The 2005 vintage of this popular varietal is perhaps the finest to date.
With the raspberry jam, licorice and pepper aromas that The Monster is
famous for, this year’s offering has more depth and complexity than
ever. Robust berry and chocolate flavors, and a creamy, lingering finish
are in perfect balance. This wine pairs well with a wide range of
cuisine, from tuna to T-bone, as long as the entrée has attitude! Enjoy
now, or cellar age until 2015. $25.99

Miller
Wine Works Syrah, Brookside Vineyard 2004
The 2004 Miller Wine
Works Syrah, Brookside Vineyard, Napa Valley virtually leaps out of the
glass at you, with a bouquet of dried herbs and brier in tow. It
possesses good weight without being burdensome, and again delivers a
dark core of ripe boysenberry and juicy wild blackberries on the palate.
Nuances of pepper and mineral marry seamlessly with a very fine tannin
structure that frames the reasonably long finish nicely. It should
continue to develop for another 3 – 5 years easily. $39.99

Las Perdices Reserve
2004
10,000 bottles made of
this winery’s top wine, a blend of 70% Malbec, 11% Syrah, 10% Bonarda,
and 9% Merlot, all hand-harvested from the family’s vineyards. The wine
goes through the same vinification process as the Cabernet, but then
spends 18 months in new French and American oak barrels. Each of the
four grapes lends its own special touch: the plumy fruit of the Malbec,
the gamey muscle of the Syrah, the earthy cherry fruit of the Bonarda,
and the coffee, fruity body of the Merlot, combining harmonically into a
nearly seamless wine.
Complex
notes of mocha, vanilla, pencil lead, plums, and violets intrigue on the
nose, followed by similar notes, plus a full-bodied finish, on the
palate. One of the most Bordeaux-like Argentine wines we have ever
tasted! $29.99

Le Cigare Volant - $29.99

Domaine Renardat-Fache Bugey Cerdon
The
tiny French town of Cerdon is very close to the Swiss border in a
little-known VDQS called Bugey. The wine is sparkling rosé, but not just
any sparkling rosé. Made from gamay and the local poulsard, it is a
delicately sweet, low-alcohol, strawberry colored wine that is yummy
with chocolate-based desserts but also ideal as an early evening
aperitif. Delight yourself and your guests with this pure pleasure bomb! (France)
$19.99

PlumpJack Estate
Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 - $89.99

;

CLOUDY BAY
SAUVIGNON BLANC 2006
Pale straw green in color and vibrantly
aromatic, the 2006 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc is like an exotic infusion
of fresh ginger, sweet basil, and lemongrass layered over ripe tropical
and citrus fruits. With great purity of fruit flavors, the palate is
mouth-wateringly juicy yet finishes with a refreshing crispness. $30.99

Belle Pente
2004 Pinot Noir Belle Pente Vineyard -
The 2004 version
comes almost exclusively from 3 blocks along the east side of Belle Pente property. The vines lie partially in a slightly concave bowl that
traps the morning sun, but protects them from the intense late afternoon
heat. The wines from this section of the vineyard tend to show flavors
and aromas on the "red side" of the black fruit spectrum: cranberry,
black raspberry, and plum. This 2004 is quite forward and coats the
palate with sweet, silky, sappy fruit. It is absolutely delicious now,
but also has sufficient balance for ageing 4-6 years.
(Willamette, Oregon) $36.99
(Sold Out)

2005 TATIARRA
CAMBRIAN SHIRAZ
The color is a
complete saturate of black purple - a common feature of the entire
series and indicative of the intense flavor profiles that follow. Roll
the wine around in the glass and the walls become instantly stained with
a deep purple hue that just clings. The nose is perfumed and powerful,
with violet top notes, followed by spice, black cherries, concentrated
blackberries and cedar. The palate is a total explosion - vinous G
forces hit every corner of the mouth, with intense layers of spice,
blackberry and black pepper, overlaid with cedar and plum. The tannins
are evident, but almost unperceivable, given the intensity of the fruit.
The balance is perfect and the oral explosion continues well into the
aftertaste. An extraordinary wine. $59.99

Amon-ra Shiraz 2005,
Barossa Valley
As the King of all Gods, Amon-Ra is considered the
most powerful figure in Egyptian mythology. The temple of Amon-Ra is
recorded as the birthplace of commercial winemaking, having the first
ever large scale vineyard grown specifically to make wine for the
citizens of the temple.
Dense purple color, the
nose displays notes of blackberry, cherry, nutmeg and intense spice. The
wine is voluptuous and yet seamlessly elegant. Supple tannins complement
richness and viscosity. It is slightly more fruit driven than the 2004
Amon-Ra. Whereas the 2004 displayed purity and elegance at release, the
2005 will require a little more time to settle down in bottle. The
tannin structure and sheer fruit weight of the wine will enable
long-term cellaring from 12-18 years. $89.99
