Vieux Telegraphe Chateauneuf du Pape 2004

"Made from the estate's oldest vines, it is a dense ruby-hued effort with purple nuances as well as a tight but promising nose of licorice, salty sea breezes, black cherries, raspberries, plums, and a hint of animal. Medium to full-bodied, with austere tannin as well as gorgeous fruit, it requires 3-5 years of cellaring before the tannin is resolved. It possesses extraordinary elegance and finesse from one of the appellation's most precocious, warmest terroirs. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2020." Robert Parker (France) $59.99

Copain Zinfandel Arrowhead Mountain 2003

The aromatics of chocolate mint, roasted red and black fruits of plum, black cherry and strawberry
compote emerge from the glass. Ripe blackberry, toast and baking spice flavors are accent by bittersweet
dark chocolate nuances. The pallet is full and rich but is nicely buffered by dusty tannins and acidity. (Sonoma, California) $39.99

Nardone Baker Sparkling Shiraz

This wine is deep purple in color with generous pink mousse. The aroma offers mulberry and dark plum with subtle hints of toasted oak. The velvety, full-bodied palate boasts dark berry, nuttiness and a hint of dark chocolate.  Some acid and tannin on the finish as the flavors linger.  Serve slightly chilled.  (Australia) $24.99

Pagos De Quintana Crianza 1999

Sweet extractive fruit and spice, leather, and almost pudding tones. soft, chewy and very rich, with dry grippe tannins and great overall balance.  Will match especially well with burgers, meat sauces, stews, casseroles of meat and game. (Spain) $11.99

Tentaka Kuni - Hawk in the Heavens Sake

A mature well-rounded flavor with a settled fragrance. Dry but with an underlying richness. Drier and lighter when chilled, and a bit fuller as it warms. (Japan) $29.99

Elvi Makor 2003

Bright ruby red.  Aromas of baked blackberry, cherry, violet and roasted herbs; reminiscent of a wine from Southern France. Then sweet and pliant but juicy, with flavors of black cherry, licorice and garrique. Finishes with sweet tannins and lingering licorice.  (A Spanish kosher wine made from 60% bobal and 40% cabernet sauvignon) $18.99.
